| - The hype is real! I know that Chef Ramsay was not behind the grill the night we came, but it seems there is a real attention to detail here that has earned the name.
This was our Thanksgiving dinner this year. My older son and I came here because the younger son was acting up. This was my son's choice. I was game.
There was a bit of a wait for two, but not too bad considering it's Vegas, at early dinner time, on Thanksgiving Day.
When we were seated the server came over pretty quickly. They have a pretty simple menu of burgers and sides, but all of the offerings looked very interesting.
They have a good selection of draught beers on tap. I started with a Boddington's - delish.
For an appetizer, we ordered their take on nachos - kettle cooked potato chips topped with corned beef and smothered in a cheese sauce. OMG! Wow! This was sooo good.
My son ordered the basic burger and I ordered the Hog Sandwich for our entrees. My son really liked his burger. He plowed through it like nothing. My sando was pretty amazing. It had a ground pork patty topped with pulled pork, bacon, and onion strings. Whoa! Porky heaven.
The only hiccough of the meal was that they ran out of two beers that I tried to order. I ordered the first off the menu. The server came back and told me that they were out, but he also brought two tasters. I really liked one, so I ordered it. He came back a few minutes later and told me they were out of that one too, but he gave me a free glass of his other recommendation. I did not expect that at a big name Vegas restaurant, so all worked out fine.
Definitely a great place for a casual meal in Vegas. Based on this experience, I want to try some other GR restaurants.
