| - I'm so disappointed! I really wanted the restaurant in this space to be a place I would frequent after work, since my office is right across the street. I was so excited when I saw it was a Del Frisco's, because their steakhouse in Dallas is awesome! But unfortunately, this location pales in comparison. I'm really confused by all of the good reviews. Here's my breakdown:
The Good -
1. They have done a great job of updating the place since Houston's left. It's really open, light and airy.
2. All of the servers and hostesses (there's A LOT of them) were really nice, which is always a plus in my book.
The Bad -
1. It's extremely loud! They have the music turned up really loudly in the restaurant, so you have a bunch of people trying to talk over the music and each other, so it just creates a VERY noisy lunchtime atmosphere.
2. The waitresses and hostesses wear really short skirts and booty shorts. I couldn't tell if I was at nice, high-end restaurant, or a gentlemen's club. In addition to their skimpy skirts/shorts, some of them had on fish net stockings, and one was even wearing tall leather boots! Sweetie, it's 108 degrees outside -- time to put the boots up! Short skirts/shorts + black stockings/fish nets + pumps/boots -- it was just all a little too much for lunch.
3. Having a booth right next to the hostess stand is a BAD idea! It was constantly loud, distracting and with people standing over our table (including the hostesses).
4. Last, but certainly not least, the food was mediocre at best! I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad and was really disappointed with the taste. It had only about 5 pieces of tuna, and tiny bits of mangos diced up in the middle of a huge salad. The dressing wasn't very tasty either. Actually, I used to order the same salad from Houston's all the time, and the Houston's salad definitely has this one beat!
All in all, a very disappointing visit! It's just okay, not great, not even good, just okay. I would really give 2.5 stars if I could, but I rounded up because the staff is so nice.
