  • I don't even know where to begin on how amazing this hospice is and how much they made everything for my father-in-law so much better in these last three years! I never met a single employee who didn't love my dad instantly and provide amazing service. My dad has been in a group home in Henderson for the past three years and my husband has been his Guardian for the past 5 years since he lost his mother. His mother was taking care of her husband until she passed away. His dad was bed bound for 26 years from a car accident and my husband spent his entire adult life helping to take care of him and his mom. My husband met with Paula, an Admission person from ProCare, to talk about the services and care his dad would get. Paula spent over 2 hours going through everything that they would do for him and up until he passed away, they did that and so much more. So many of the team from ProCare took time out of their busy day to attend the funeral service for Frank. From the top to the front line staff, they all came and sent wishes of love and support which made such a difficult time in our lives a little easier. They even sent flowers back to the funeral service in Buffalo where we had him buried. It was the nurses like Gabby that came out on weekends and late nights and heard our panics and freak out sessions on what to do with Frank that made all the difference. They helped us make the tough decisions and were always there with a patient ear. I remember several times one of the owners of the company coming out and reading the sports section to my dad and talking about the Buffalo Bills as our dad was always a fan of football. It is true that all hospices have to provide roughly the same services but there has been multiple times when ProCare has helped us with things going above and beyond. Sending out someone to massage our dad's bad hands and feet. He always was smiling and happy and felt like a million bucks after that. For those moments, he felt normal again. He couldn't speak much but he always had a glimmer and spark in his eye. At his funeral services, I had trouble even getting out and remembering all of the late night phone calls and life changing decisions that we were constantly worried about. They always had someone calm us down and help us think rationally to make the best decisions for our dad. He was the best Father-In-Law anyone could have and to my husband, the best Father. The world lost a great man back in January and we are still grieving. ProCare has been there with their Social Worker, Chaplain and nurses and CNAs who have become friends and are always asking how we are doing and if there is anything they can do to help us. What they don't realize is that everything they have done in terms of taking great care of our dad along with the Group Home was more than I can ever thank them for. In my mind, they are the best Hospice in all of Las Vegas and I strongly recommend them. As I sit here reading some of these negative reviews and my husband being in Healthcare, i think it is something we all know that people are never more raw with their emotions than when they lose someone special to them. This is a losing business by nature. Almost everyone ProCare touches will lose their patient and that is brutally tough on the Team as they face loss every day. Sometimes with Patients that they have had for years or have come on service and off service because they improve. It is a tough job and one I could never do, so from the bottom of my husband and my heart, I just want to say thank you to everyone at ProCare for all you have done for us and for our FRANK! Hugs and kisses and keep up the great work!
