Dinner was on an early Friday evening at 730. We arrived right around that time and were seated immediately. The hostess was polite and courteous. Soon after, our servers Manuel and Tham introduced themselves. Water and bread with the pesto Parmesan cheese in olive oil was delicious. The menu has more than enough items to satisfy a steak and seafood eater. Anyhow, we had the heirloom tomatoes with the side of bacon-the tomatoes were fresh, light, and surprisingly tasty. The bacon added a savory element to the lightness of the tomatoes. Our entrees consisted of the 8oz filet and the sea bass. Sides were potatoes au gratin and asparagus. We did actually have enough room left over for dessert and we had the bananas foster bread pudding; it was very good.
In summary, I really enjoyed dinner at Tender. The wait staff was attentive without being annoying. The atmosphere is typical of the old style steak house; dimly light with darker tones. I do like that there was no obnoxiously loud music playing in the background... my pet peeve is having to yell to hear one another. The food portions were perfect for me. That being said, they will probably too small for you lol... The prices to me were reasonable for what you get. We did have the MyVegas comp, and I think that made this meal even more enjoyable. I've paid more for less at other high profile celebrity chef restaurants and I've paid less for comparable quality of food and service at other steak houses. This is Vegas and it is what it is. All in all this was a positive experience and one that ensures that the gf and I will be returning to Tender when we can.
