| - The Birthing Suites are awesome. Specifically, the nurses are the most amazing nurses I have ever encountered. Prior to being induced, I went to the birthing centers twice because of contractions. Each time, the nurses were very attentive and took great care of me. This was my first pregnancy, so I was petrified and constantly apologizing. When I went in to be induced on February 5, 2015, to deliver, I was in labor for twenty-six hours so I went through three rounds of nurses. They are super calm, and that helped keep me calm. From induction, to when they broke my water, to where I received my epidural, to when I started pushing - they were all very caring and attentive. They joked around with me when I was in the early stages of labor, made me comfortable as it started to get more intense - and, because they knew how much I did not want to have a c-section, even argued with the OBGYN to let me at least try to push before calling for that. I was able to deliver my perfect little girl vaginally which is what I wanted. Afterwards, the nurses came in and checked on us often, but not annoyingly. I fell the day I gave birth, and after that the nurses were very adamant about watching me.
It is separate from the main hospital which was so important to me. I didn't know how long we'd be in the hospital, and I didn't want me or my daughter getting some secondary infection.
I am delivering my son there in June. I hope the staff that was there for my first is still there.
