| - Spectrum Apartments is awesome! Apparently it was pretty bad before new management took over (thus the bad past reviews), but fortunately for me, I moved in after that. I spoke with the property manager Carla more times than I could keep track of prior to moving because I kept thinking of questions regarding my cross country move from Washington DC to Vegas. I really bugged the crap out of her, but she was always friendly, patient, helpful, positive, and solution-oriented. She's really an amazing woman! The rest of the Spectrum staff is very friendly as well and I've never had an issue that wasn't resolved, not there there are many issues...minor things like my gate key fob acting up and light apartment maintenance.
The property and landscaping is beautiful, with a nice pool, plenty of grassy areas, BBQ grills, and outdoor couches to relax on, which is pretty awesome at night. The community is quiet for the most part, with occasional pool parties getting loud on holidays, but that's to be expected, not an issue. Everyone seems to be friendly around here!
My apartment layout is very cool, with two master bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) with ample space in the walk-in closets and lots of storage in the large bathrooms. The bathtub is bigger than I thought it would be, which is great because I'm a big guy! My covered balcony overlooking the pool stays cool and provides a nice, peaceful view, both during the day and at night. The full size washer and dryer in the unit makes laundry easy, the kitchen is big enough for whatever you need with tons of cabinet space, the ceiling is about 30 feet high in the living room with windows to let sunlight in, there's hidden storage space in the back of the hall closet, and ceiling fans to keep the place cool. I love it!
Major improvements are being made to the business center and gym, so I'm sure those will be amazing when finished as well. I would highly recommend living here, especially if you want access to everything you could possibly need, including immediate access to the 215, and still be 10ish minutes from the strip (far enough away for peace and quiet, close enough for quick access to fun). Almost forgot...both bedrooms have a mountain view!
I will conclude with this statement: If there's a unit available, don't hesitate to get it now!
