  • I've gone to the Lion several times over the last decade and I want to love it, given that it is such a Beach icon, but the best I can say is that it doesn't suck. Not a rousing endorsement, I realize. There are items on the menu that are not bad - the Cajun calamari and jalapeño poppers, for instance. The fries are usually on the dry side and the garlic bread with cheese was way too salty. They do have 2 large patios in the nice weather if that's all you're looking for, but the décor inside is dated, even for a pub. Basically this joint needs an overhaul.
