I had visited this location several times and can safely say that this is definitely not the best European supermarket (Russian Deli store) experience in North York/Richmond Hill. It is grossly overpriced comparing to other smaller Russian Deli stores in the area and by grossly I mean 20-30% in general for cheese, deli and many other off-the-shelf products.
Several pre-packaged items we purchased recently were expired!!! ALWAYS check the dates on the packaging while shopping there!
As for prepared food, even though the selection is substantial and I must say quite impressive, the taste and quality are without a doubt subpar. Bulgogi beef was rubbery and swimming in a pool of thick sweet sauce that tasted like jam. Fried potatos with mushrooms and duck leg confit reeked of old cooking oil. Cutlets were bland and had weird texture and the list goes on. To top it off, after trying few of these dishes our stomachs instantly started churning and we tossed everything that was left. Good luck trying to take that back!
Of course there are few items worth noting, especially baked goods but also very expensive and can be purchased fresh and for less at local bakeries.
I think their first smaller store at Dufferin and Finch was a lot better but I haven't been there in 3 years so it could be quite a different experience now.
