  • I've been to this location 3 times now. The first visit was great. The front desk was pleasant and the woman who saw me was compassionate and had a great bedside manner. I was even able to fill my prescriptions on site. Fast forward 8 months. I stopped in to be seen to make sure I did not have strep throat. Check in was okay and fairly quick. I was the only person in there so it should have been a fairly quick process. The MA that called me back was also very pleasant. The PA, however, left much to be desired. If it were not for poor bedside manner, he would have none. He spoke very fast and was short with me. It was as if he were in a hurry to rush off to get to a pick up basketball game. The vibe I got was more frat boy and less medical professional. It turned out I didn't have strep so he gave me a few suggestions for over the counter meds and sent me on my way. I was probably in and out in under 20 minutes which sounds great if you felt like you had actually been treated. A month later I was back with similar symptoms, only worse. The girl at check-in was nice enough, but seemed very disengaged. The MA was nice, but super young and seemed very new to his position. I was seen by the same PA and the experience was pretty much the same. Again, it was very rushed and there was not an ounce of personal connection. This time I was told it was just a viral cough and that it would have to work its way through my system and was given a prescription for a cough suppressant and some Flonase. A week later my cough was so much worse and I was totally sleep deprived. I was able to get in with the NP at my regular doctor and I can tell you the experience was like night and day. I was treated for a sinus infection and bronchitis. I was asked questions and was treated like an actual person. I don't get sick often. In fact, the last time I saw my PCP was April 2014. I liked the convenience of having an urgent care so close to my home, but I have no plans to return unless it is a weekend or after hours situation as was the case for my first visit. I also spoke with someone who was recently seen at this location and her experience was pretty much the same. Why pay an $85 copay to be treated like a number when I can pay $40 at my PCP and be treated kindly? I suggest exploring other options for more thorogh care.
