  • First of all, I want to apologize to Allied Van Lines. It came down to their company and Bekins and we sure paid for our wrong decision. The Bekins representative named Kirk who came to our house, was very slick. He gave a huge price range but swore to us that the amount we were moving would be at the very bottom of the estimate. He then gave a delivery timeline of May17th to May 31st. Two guys came to pick up our furniture when we were leaving Las Vegas on May 11th. I feel bad for one of the guys because he did all the work while the other one just stood around talking about Freemasons in the Illuminati. After arriving at our new home on the 17th, we called for a status update but no one at the company knew where on the road are Furniture was. They were also not able to give a price for the cost so we still just had the rough estimate that ranged widely. 7 more days went by with no update so we called again and we're told by an employee named Evan that things that arrive either on the 23rd or 24th. What are Furniture still did not arrive, I called again and requested to speak to someone else. I spoke to another employee named Jeff who looked on his computer and said that after two weeks, our furniture was still sitting in Las Vegas and not too hot even been loaded yet. He also stated that our furniture had never been weighed by the people that picked it up so they still had no idea how much it would cost. Not surprisingly, are Furniture finally arrived on the 31st which was the last day allowed by them in the contract to deliver the furniture without any kind of penalty. The final price was wildly more expensive than we were told. Not only was it not at the low end of the estimate as promised by the employee but it wasn't even in the high end of the estimate. Total cost ended up being over $200 more then that and overall about $1,000 higher than we had been promised. I tried calling the customer service line but it just went to someone's voicemail in Illinois and I could never get anyone to actually answer the phone. While there is nothing we can do about this terrible experience, I just hope that someone will read this and pick a different company to say themselves so much trouble.
