| - It's been a really long time since I was completely satisfied with a meal. Having experienced many of the finer things I've just become more and more spoiled. Usually, if i'm in a bad enough mood, I can easily find a reason to say "meh."
Nothing about this place was "meh."
I ordered the innovation menu for a whopping 348 dollars (about 13 courses because I count the dessert cart as one) and it was worth every penny. I'm not going to go through the menu, and I am posting pictures of the food. The only tips for those of you who are not regular french fine dining foodies are that you should expect to be there for a long time (3-4 hours), and that the portions are small but luxe.
The service was impeccable. No alcohol for me so I don't know about the sommelier, but the silver service waiter we had was absolutely professional, and not snooty like other french restaurant waiters.
At the end, we gave the executive chef (Matieu Chartron) compliments, and we got an impromtu tour of the kitchen! He's a very nice and down to earth man.It was an amazing experience I was very fortunate to have. I found out that there was indeed a chef's table for those who want an up-close experience in the kitchen. I'm definitely doing this next time I go.
Oh, dress up to come to this place because if you hit it big downstairs and come here to celebrate, jeans and a t-shirt aren't going to cut it. I'm talking business casual AT LEAST.
For two people, expect to spend at least $1000 and of course more unless you're a jerk tipper or order a bunch of alcohol..
