  • We moved in right when this complex changed management and became Xander 3900 and this place is a dump. Explore the complex before moving in and you'll see why. There are pigeons, roaches, and stray cats everywhere despite you paying a monthly "pest control" fee. This also means there is cat poop, pigeon poop, and broken bird eggs everywhere as well. There was also a dead bird in the grass outside my apartment for weeks despite us telling maintenance guys driving around on their golf carts as well as the office. They are literally too lazy to do anything here. I cant speak for the "upgraded" apartments because the one i got certainly has not been upgraded. The kitchen counters are cheap and have knife marks throughout them. None of the burners are the stove are level so if you better have some deep pots and pans unless you want it all over the stove top. The floors are atrocious. You can feel all the bumps and such where maintenance was too lazy to smooth out the glue for their cheap vinyl floors. We even have staples sticking out of our floors suggesting that when the vinyl bubbled, their genius idea was to staple it down. Even under the carpet you can feel the bumps and grooves and everything creaks and groans due to everything being so cheap and poorly installed. Our front door does not close properly unless you lock it and to lock it you have to pull on it or the bolt doesn't match up with the hole. The window in the second bedroom does not open and close, if you try the window literally starts falling out of the tracks. We complained about this over a month ago to the office and we're yet to see one of their useless maintenance people come attempt to "fix" it. The water pressure is terrible and the kitchen faucet barely gets luke warm. They couldn't even be bothered to properly clean the bathrooms before we moved in as their is just calcium, lime, and rust build-up all over the shower. The entire apartment is hastily painted and looks terrible. Nothing is removed from the walls before painting, they just paint over everything. It's your typical low-rent, prideless, lazy way of doing things. Right now there are no common areas as management is too busy prepping their facade of this becoming a high-end apartment. They rebuilt the office and are painting all of the apartment exteriors that face traffic. Not the middle, just the outsides where you can see from the street. All other common areas, including the pool, have been under construction for months. Frankly I dont understand what it is exactly I am paying rent for. The office staff is your typical fake-friendly group of useless human beings who are paid to smile, nod, and lie to your face. They claim they'll get stuff done but they don't then when you return to file the same complaint they look at like confused and say "we told someone to fix it" (the dead rotting bird). This complex is hardly even dog friendly. There are no walking paths anywhere that I have seen in the complex which can make it quite hazardous to walk your dog with all the cars coming and going. Currently the only outgoing mailbox is in the office as well. And if you have a larger package expected to arrive, if its USPS don't expect the mailman to deliver it to your door. They hand it to the office and sucks to be you if you work during their office hours. All in all this place is not worth the $900 they charge for a 2 bedroom. Now I hear they want to charge like $1,100+ for one of their "upgraded" units. Trust me people, with their level of craftsmanship and lack of pride in their work, the upgraded apartments wont be worth $500 a month. I am very glad my roommate plans on staying with the lease which means I can move out ASAP. It's a nice relief knowing I'm not locked into another 10 horrible months here. They also charge you out the nose for garbage, sewage, and water. I've never had bills this high. Too bad they dont take out the real garbage, which lies in the maintenance and office staff.
