Ahhh... been going to Paragon on and off for 5 years. I think we are done though.
We always felt unwelcome practicing during the day, as the European instructors were snotty and didn't appear to want to share the massive floor with us.
However, the social dancing on Fridays was generally good. We popped in last weekend though & all 3 of us looked at each other like "What the heck is this?"
1) Price went up to $8/person. No biggie.
2) Didn't see the usual spread of refreshments out.
3) The music was not good. At all. They used to play songs people knew & were excited to dance to... Nope. The few songs they played that we recognized, they had slowed down so much they were totally undanceable. The vibe had been killed.
4) They seem to be catering really heavily to the old folks. By "old", I mean that my friend asked if they could turn the music up and she said no, because most of the people had hearing aids in. I'm not trying to discriminate, but there are a lot of other venues for that crowd already that us 20/30 somethings stay out of.
All in all, it's decent still, but personally I wouldn't go again.
