| - My family and I were craving Mexican food, but didn't want to leave our neighborhood. We found this little hole in the wall, which the server told us had been there for decades.
We were seated right away next to the bar, which made my frozen mango margarita super quick to the table. It's basically all I had been craving all day, and it didn't disappoint. They also bring you fresh chips and warm beans and salsa, which was nice. My husband and I shared the combo fajitas for two, and my daughter had the Enchiladas Rancheros. They weren't busy, so service was quick. The meal came, and we were all quite satisfied.
Honestly, there was only two things that we did not like. First of all, which was beyond their control, a couple of older blonde ladies were sat right next to us, and they loudly spoke the entire time we were there. We had to listen to them complain about the food (before they even ordered), complain about the staff, and then listen to their entire life stories while we ate. As I said before, completely not their fault that these snooty women ruined our meal, but would have been nice to have some space from them since the restaurant was mostly empty.
The last bit I will add, our "fried ice cream". We had been looking forward to ordering this item, and had saved room for it in the end. It came to our table seconds after we ordered it, and we soon discovered why. It seemed as though it had been pre-fried. The whole thing was cold, and the outer breading was chewy and unappealing. I actually ended up just peeling it all off to take a bite of just the ice cream. Unfortunately, that made for an expensive $9 scoop of ice cream.
We will definitely return in the future, most likely for margaritas and the friendly staff.
