I guess I'm getting the reputation of being the "train man" since I've been commuting to work via the Lynx. It's a whole total of 3mins I spend on the train every morning and afternoon, but I love it. I'm pretty married to my home stop and my work stop, but every once in a while I get to take the train "to the end of the line" which for now is 7th Street Station.
The train switches track sides so that it can make it's return the other direction, but once the rest of the north end of the blue line is completed, 7th Street Station will be in the middle stop in the entire line which is crazy to think about.
The station itself is located pretty centrally and it drops you in front of the 7th Street Station parking deck - even more better is the 7th Street Station Market below the deck. Makes for a lively station with a lot going on. There's a B-cycle station and plenty of benches and awning shelters in case you don't have an umbrella like me.
On the other side of the tracks is ImaginOn (Children's museum).... lots to do in the immediate vicinity. Also there are a number of bars/restaurants within a one or two block radius of this station so it makes for a good stop Uptown. With the completion of First Ward Park, catty-corner from the station, this should be a great destination for folks riding the light rail.
