  • I bought a new version of Battlefield 1 from this store. It was the last version, and apparently the DVD was kept behind the counters separate from the box. When I got the DVD home, I noticed the DVD was cracked and would not install on my Xbox. I returned to the store the same day for a refund or an exchange. I waited in a very long line with only 2 staffers working a packed store. Thirty minutes later, I was told that there were no other copies of the game in the store and was offered a full refund. Later that week while reviewing my credit card statement, I noticed that Gamestop had actually charged me again for the defective DVD rather than credit a refund. I called the store the next day, and was told I had to settle this with 'corporate'. I called an 800 number on 2 separate occasions and was holding for 45 minutes each time, before I finally gave up. Ultimately, the only way I was able to clear up this bogus double charge, was to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Going forward, I will save myself the trouble and buy my new games from Best Buy or buy used games from another source.
