  • I live here in Vegas and decided to do a little getaway "stay-cation" when I saw a great rate for a night at The Palms. Note, there is the Palms Resort and Casino (main building) and then these luxury suites at Palms Place. I had no idea the room was going to be in Palms Place, I was familiar with the Palms casino part but not this newer tower of luxury suites. I paid $70 through a hotel app because it was a great rate and I received so much more for my money! The studio suite I received on the 19th floor was just out of this world! Super modern and luxurious, everything was new and clean. I kept wondering for the entire day if perhaps they got something wrong...like "how on Earth did I get THIS place for $70!!" Even had a nightmare that my bill said $750 at check out, but NOPE. It was no mistake! THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL ON EVERY LEVEL and I really did pay that low rate and OMG it gets better... The room had a full kitchen, fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, toaster with kitchen seating and a counter. Plenty of closet space, a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, a waterfall shower and a handheld shower in one and all the bath amenities. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable, there were two big plasma TVs on the wall side by side in the room, one at foot of the bed and then the other in the living room area. I suppose two people in the room can watch different things if they so choose! And there's a TV in the bathroom! The room also had a large balcony with an amazing view of downtown towards the Stratosphere to left and then the entire Strip to the right. I mean are you kidding me? All of this for what I paid plus resort fee...is still the best deal I have had in a long time. To make this even better, we went down to the Palms Place pool, off the spa and gym area, where it's a bit more chill and relaxed then the Palms Resort/Casino pool--which tends to have the "seen and be seen" scene and more of the party life--but the Palms Place pool was astonishingly beautiful and nice music. There were round couches in the middle of the water should you choose to get full sun, and then cushioned lounge chairs all around and little cabanas around the outside where you can escape from the sun and sit on a couch, enjoy lunch, watch TV even! A few of the cabanas had reserved signs but many of the others were wide open for any hotel guest to use. At most pool clubs around Vegas, you pay out the NOSE for a cabana, even lounge chairs cost extra! My mom, who lives locally, joined me at the pool that day and we had two lounge chairs AND a cabana all to ourselves the entire day no charge. Plus poolside service and food from the amazing restaurant on the 6th floor called Simon. All of this is all included in your resort fee at no extra charge!? OUSTANDING. They also gave us a 2 for 1 drink ticket upon check in, to use at ROJO bar down in the lobby. In the evening, my boyfriend and I started the night off at the bar for a drink. We met the bartender Kendell there who was super friendly with us. We had two top shelf drinks with RedBull (normally these are $14-20/ea. drinks) we got 2 for $10!! Seriously, this is not possible at any other popular casino/resort on the Strip that I know of in Vegas. Superb deal. From there we went to eat at Lao Sze Chuan and I almost didn't leave. Best Chinese food I have ever had in my life! At a very decent value. Later we went to Ghost Bar and it was super fun, great crowd and good music too. Live DJ was playing. Finished our night there overall had one of the best days away from home in a while! Not even finished! (Can it get better, yes!) Upon checkout, I spoke with David (from Colombia...I remember the name tag!) at the reception desk. I had a question about a 50% comp that I had received from a local membership coupon booklet and wasn't sure he would be able to redeem it for me. WELL, HE DID! Took 50% off my meal from the night before. Seriously. Just when you think customer service is dead these days, a day and night like this at the PALMS changes everything. Restores my faith in great service, quality and value. If you haven't figured it out yet, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I'm sure the main side at the Palms Resort and Casino is just as nice. The pool there is nice too and reception was very helpful, but if you have the opportunity to stay in Palms Place, you will NOT be disappointed. There is a gorgeous spa there too if that is what you're into. In fact, it's 6 miles from my house, I may just start going to hang out there on my days off! Thank you PALMS PLACE for making my one night stay truly, the best ever in my life!
