Well I had my hysterectomy 4 days ago. Waking up in the recovery room I was a bit shocked that this is where I was going to be staying. I wasn't in a real hospital bed. My hysterectomy was the hardest hysterectomy my doctor had ever done. I'll spare you the details on that but needless to say I was in a lot of pain. It was very difficult trying to sleep and control my pain on such a horrible so-called bed. I don't know if they have lack of communication with doctors or what the case is but they never managed to get my pain under control. They were trying to wean me off the medicine that they put in my IV and just give me the pills to make sure that I can manage my pain at home. But the pills they were giving me we're not the bills that I had at home. I force them to call my doctor told him I was sign a waiver whatever I just needed to leave because I was better at managing my pain than they were. They finally got my Dr on the phone she talked to me about my hysterectomy so on and told me that she knows I can handle my own pain and sent me home. And I was so much better off at home. The all the nurses were attentive and sweet. Everyone seem to care about me. Everything went smoothly other than the room and the pain is not one thing I could complain about. I do believe people recovering should at least have a better bed when they're expected to be in severe pain. I was very happy with the service and the response time after hitting the nurse button they always seem to be happy to help.
