| - (This review concerns their S. Stoughton Road automotive service department). Made an appointment for their 4-wheel brake inspection, of which their web site claims that they do a test ride, among other things. Told the service writer I thought there might be a problem with them but wasn't certain. They get back to me saying "a caliper is sticking a bit", and signed me up for replacement front calipers, pads, and rotors for about $468. The mechanic admitted he never did a test drive. "It wasn't on the work order", he said. The next day I called back and asked if I could get just the calipers replaced. "We can't do an incomplete brake job", said a service writer. "Management told us we can't be liable to getting sued". Sometime after this I cancelled my appointment, and brought my vehicle to a local garage with very good reviews. Their verdict: "We can't find anything wrong with your brakes, although there could be a little rotor warping that we couldn't detect. I'm trying to make money, but your brakes don't need anything". Total charge: $24.27 for the brake inspection. Now I ask you: Which do you prefer paying: $468. to F&F, or $24 to some knowledgeable and/or honest business?
