We had an amazing time here! There's something for everyone of all ages.
If you like the beach...the wave pool area is for you bodysurfers and just cooling off. Remember you have to stay behind a certain point. Two lifeguards in the shallow end will root their whistles and remind you if you forget. The waves flow in every 90 seconds.
If you're too lazy to swim...the lazy river is for you. You can buy a tube ($18 small or $22 large) at the shop on your way in or bring your own. We saw a mix of both. The river is small in size (translation: short in length) but you are also allowed to walk and float/swim through it even if you don't have a tube. It does have a couple of small waterfalls you can float or walk through.
If you want to sleep or read a book....find a BROWN chair BEHIND the red chairs or by the lazy river. Cabanas and the red chairs and red umbrellas are extra. How much extra you ask? Red chair = $75 EACH and a red umbrella = $75 EACH. SERIOUSLY! There isn't much shade in the main open beach area.
If you want to drink or eat and stay in the shade...the Bar & Grill is for you. But you can also order food and drinks from your chairs. Servers come around every once in a while. Some things aren't badly priced ($5 French fries = half filled to go square box) and some are expensive (8 oz fresh made smoothie = $10 each).
If you want somewhere to sit in the water and talk, drink or relax, there's a shallow end to the left of the wave pool area. A lot of parents and toddlers as well as adults sitting hang out there. Just know that if you're facing the beach/wave pool area and your back to the sand the sun will be in your face.
Overall this place was perfect for the needs of our family. Fun with water for our kids that love to swim, somewhere for me to sit and read a book and a place for hubby to nap.
