Always liking new places that open in Scottsdale to check out. This place is right next to Whiskey Row, across from Gus, and around corner from Hi-Fi and adjacent to backside of Maya.
The setup:
Went here on Monday night to watch Monday Night Football game and word hasn't gotten out yet about it being open I believe. It is a cool place with lots of tv's and their food is really good.
Ambience:
The bar is unique in that on part of the bar you sit on a regular chair and it comes to your mid chest-waist vs normal stool chair bars per se. On the other side there are stools I believe. It's a very wide open type bar where you can see all the way across the bar without obstruction. There are couches there to give it more of a relaxed feel. There are also outside tables and areas for hanging outside but didn't see any tv's out there, but I may be mistaken.
Pro's:
Hot wait staff, good food, open scene, good tvs. Apparently they will be having Bingo every Wednesday with pretty sweet giveaways.
Con's:
2 ski ball games and a grapple game to grab items? What are we at Chuck E Cheese? Lame. Not feeling their beer list either. Not the greatest selections on tap and only like 4 bottle types of beer to choose from? If you are a Four Peaks Brewing fan then they have those on tap but I'm not a fan. Settled for a Guinness. Couches will take up a lot of space vs putting more tables but will see how that shakes out when it gets crowded.
Overall:
I'll give this place some time and hope they add more beers like Sam Adams or something better by the bottle like Corona. I'll be back to see how it fills in for sporting events and for Bingo.
