Great donuts. Excellent biscuits. What more could you want? Well, longer hours. They close daily at 2pm. Many times I've wanted to swing by and get some donuts in the heart of the day, and it always seems to be 2:05 or 3pm. Either way, it's frustrating.
That said, most of their donuts are outstanding. If you are new to them I advise you to sample different things your first time. Mix it up. Some will appeal more than others. They always have some sort of "special" going. Sometimes they are a home-run. Sometimes they are a little odd but that's my taste. Maple bacon seems to be trendy these days and they have their own version. It's one of the better Maple Bacon donuts I have had but it's not something I get every time.
They are BUSY in the morning but they keep things moving. They have people making donuts and biscuits (and they start at like 2am or something but aren't open til 7). They have people finishing the donuts (dipping, flavoring, etc.) They have people filling biscuits. By the way, their ham biscuit has plenty of ham. A lot of places cut short on ham (not sure why, but they do). I like their chicken biscuit. And they have staff boxing and bagging all the orders. All in all, waits are minimal. Pretty amazing given how fresh everything!!
It's not cheap, but nothing is these days. For the slight premium over grocery store donuts they are an absolute bargain. Their apple fritters are my favorite and I've not had anything as good anywhere else.
