  • Dan came out to give us an estimate on 9/7 and stated he could come and do the work at noon on 9/9. At the designated time, he called and said another job was taking longer than he expected and he may not be able to come out until 9/10. This was understandable and we agreed. He and his coworker came out on 9/10 and did most of the work. My husband paid in cash as requested and Dan agreed to come back out on 9/13 to help move all of the debris to the curb for trash pick up. When I looked at the trees, I noted there were several large branches still within reach of hitting the power lines, which was the reason we wanted the trees trimmed in the first place. My husband called Dan and said we needed the rest of the branches finished. Dan said he'd finish them when he came back on 9/13. It's now 9/18 and Dan did not come back, nor has he returned any of our texts or voice mails. Now we will have to pay someone to finish the job, and my husband has spent hours chopping up the debris and hauling it to the curb for pick up on trash day. I had a bad feeling when Dan wanted to be paid in cash instead of check (what business doesn't accept checks?), but I thought sometimes people have circumstances and I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately it seems he doesn't keep his word. I gave two stars because the work he did do was good.
