| - Since the MGM poker room moved back and forth from the original "room" to the hallway about 8 times in the last 2 years and is now permanently in the hallway instead of an actual "room", the number of players have steadily decreased (from 12-15 tables average to 3-5 max for most of 2014!) and the supervisors have become real a$$holes. They make it seem like they are trying to close the poker room by turning away all the players on purpose. The dealers are still very good but the supervisors, especially the tubby guy that runs the tournaments most days, turned into a jackass recently and it really shows with the number of tables they have running at any time. They stopped most tournaments they used to run, and changed the newer ones to horrible structure, format, and times compared to all other good poker rooms in Las Vegas such as Aria, Venetian, etc. Even casinos off the strip like The Orleans has a far superior poker room, management, and 4x-5x active table count than MGM does, as well as +100 tournament players every day compared to MGM's disappointing 0-1 table average! That's right, many days MGM poker supervisors turn people away by telling them there aren't enough people to even start the daily tournament and won't let anyone sign up! I've been there multiple times where they said there weren't enough people, so I rounded up 6 or 7 other people with cash-in-hand to get 1 table started so more people could see it going and join in, and they STILL WOULDN'T START A TOURNAMENT!
