After seeing the mostly good reviews online we decided to give it a try. I gave it a 3 because my kids had fun spending the day with mom.
However, I doubt we will ever return or recommend it. We arrived at 10:28am (they opened at 10) and the family bathroom trash can was FILLED and smelled like dirty diapers, the regular bathrooms were okay. The front staff were great and friendly although the staff at the touch part were busy with their own conversation and only spoke to my kids when I asked them specific questions, there were handprints on all of the glass and only 3 of the 8 hand sanitizers that we tried actually worked and had sanitizer in them. The outside "Colorado river" was a dry and dirty carve out with sprinklers above running and when it was time to watch the sharks being fed at 1130 which we were stoked on and waited for- I specifically asked an employee who appeared to be a manager of some sort where the best place to see the sharks and hear them at- he stated the tunnel or the view room on the other side - I reiterated asking which one was better and he stated that they were the same so we stayed in the tunnel. We waited and waited and finally at 1135 we could hear the muffled speaker from the OTHER side that was now too packed to get to. My kids kept asking what they were saying and by 1140 the sharks still hadn't been fed and now the kids had to go to the bathroom- we made a dash for it and of course as we were walking out - everyone was dispersing. On the way out- I briefly spoke to the manager as I did not want to spend any time in front of my children complaining and he merely brushed it off stating he had checked everything that morning. This part is the worst in my opinion- he didn't say anything other than stating he checked the facility and would check it again. There is absolutely no way he walked that place. It was 30 minutes after opening- the trash would have been minimal, the fingerprints less and sanitizer would have been available. Very very disappointed.
