  • ***YELP 100 CHALLENGE 87/100*** OMG! I was not aware that this place had a change of ownership. I was at nearby SW Medical so I figured I'll stop by Bonjour for one of those mouthwatering almond croissants. Immediately when I walked in I noticed that the lay out of the place had changed but I thought they simply redecorated. Wrong! An older Asian lady helped me (apparently the new owner) no pleasantries, just "what do you want?" ummm ok, I told her I wanted an almond croissant and a butter croissant, then she asked me is that it? In a condescending manner to boot. I perused the selection and nothing really appealed to me so I said that was it, at this point I was still oblivious of the said change until she rang me up and I told her I had a Yelp check in offer I would like to use, 10% off. She said NO NO NO... then she called her husband from the back, she spoke to him in their language and he started getting mad. He then started yelling at me NO YELP ZERO ZERO! I wanted to laugh because he was so mad and I didn't understand where the hostility was coming from. Then another lady walks in the picture and she explained to me that the Asian couple were the new owners since about 8 months ago. She told me they couldn't honor it and needed to contact Yelp to have that offer taken down. I said it was fine, it's only 10 percent it's not that big of a deal! On to the items I bought: NASTY. One word to describe both. The almond croissant was hard as a rock and shattered when I tried to cut it in half. If I wanted a cookie for breakfast I would have ordered exactly that. It had to have been a couple days old, and the taste was so horrendous I had to spit it out. The butter croissant was less teeth shattering but so generic tasting that I would gladly eat a croissant from Walmart or Costco instead. Ok so ill manners aside, had the quality stayed the same I would still probably patronize this place but with both aspects down the gutter there is NO WAY I would ever come back to this place. Congratulations Bonjour, you just lost another customer.
