A sweet addition to Kensington, with another outlet in this expanding dynasty of ice cream shoppes. Sweet Olenka's has taken over an awkward little nook easily overlooked when walking by it on Augusta. Good idea with the sidewalk sign and the overhead door swung wide open so you can walk right through it. Inside there are a couple tables with chairs to sit and eat your treats as there is no patio space out front. Further back there is a tall freezer full of ice cream sandwiches and sticks. And next to that is a freezer with rotating flavours of hard ice cream. Note there are vegan options available. Some of the flavours included Cherry Cola and Maple Bacon, yum! These people have created sensational ice cream flavours like ramen so you never know what you might find when visiting.
On a cool May weekend to warm things up they had freshly fried apple fritters available so their depth of sweetness runs deep.
They are planning some light snacks with sandwiches available in the upper section of this hidden little corner of the market so keep an eye on them.
