  • Oh this place gives me mixed feelings. You walk in and the smell of pee & poop hit you in the face. Then you see all these little helpless, cute faces staring at you from behind glass in cramped, dirty cages. Puppies are yelping to get your attention...essentially screaming "help me" and "get me out of here". The associates are a bunch of teenage girls and they are right behind you waiting for you to stop briefly at one puppy before they pull at your heart strings by saying "wanna hold him?". Of course with those sad eyes looking back at you, you agree. You agree because you think "we'll if I play with this pup at least he'll get out of that small cage for just a minute". They go retrieve the puppy and put you in a play pen. You fall in love and want to take all of them home. Then they hit you with the price - $3,200 for a Corgi?! Are you out of your godforsaken mind?? Unfortunately these puppies are EXTREMELY overpriced. Blew my damn mind...but these girls know how to pull you in...give you a guilt trip. There was no way I wanted that little Corgi going back in that stinky cage. He was so sweet and playful...just wanting love, and then, we fell deep in love with him. One thing I discovered is that the price was negotiable. We got them down $1,000 on the price and eventually settled on $2,299. Our new pup came with a kennel, a water bottle, a food bowl, food, treats, a brush, toys, shampoo and more. Better come with all that for $2,299!! He also came with a free vet check up (at their preferred vet) and vet coverage for up to 14 days. Good thing they offered that because within 24 hours of getting our new Corgi home, he was very very sick. He had an intestinal parasite infection and pneumonia :( which almost killed him. Buyers beware - most of the puppies are very sick. It's not the first time I've heard that from this pet store. If you do buy a per from there, do yourself a favor and buy pet insurance to cover all the future costs of taking care of them and their potential illnesses. Thankfully Calvin is now a healthy, bouncing 8 month old baby boy. We rescued him from those terrible conditions. If I had the money, I'd rescue them all.
