  • Our Valley tower strip view room had been renovated with a modern decor and was just great. Modern bathroom fixtures, super comfortable bed, neat lighting behind the headboard. My one complaint is that the view of the strip on the 21st floor was seriously lacking, mostly blocked by the Linq and the other tower of Harrah's. Luckily they didn't charge much extra. If you are getting a strip view room, ask to be as high up as possible. Express elevators from floors 21 and higher made a very quick trip to the lobby and Starbucks. The express check-in kiosk worked great and saved a long wait in line, though if we'd gone to the desk I would have asked for a higher floor. At reservation time, we booked a daytime ride on the High Roller, 2 for $20, at the kiosk there was no mention of it. I went to the desk later when there was no crowd and they gave me a voucher. High Roller charged our room $50 despite the voucher, seems like a scam, but I went to the Harrah's desk and they happily removed the charge. In general the people were really nice. The food hall is a good concept, though we only had pastries there and a couple tacos. Setup for the taco counter is awkward, you have to go to the bakery counter to pay, and tell them exactly what you want on your tacos. It seemed odd to be telling the bakery person I want onions and cilantro on my tacos when I could have told the taco person as they made my tacos. The taco guy gave us a lecture on how pico de Gallo already has onions and cilantro so we didn't need to order that too. Yes I know that. I want onions and cilantro too. The staff at the lobby Starbucks were particularly nice. As was our housekeeper. While I hate having to pay for parking on top of the resort fee, at least the parking system recognized our license plate and we didn't have to use our room key after the first time. All in all, I would stay here again.
