A couple months ago, our senior kitty Aidan was throwing up nearly every day, he couldn't keep a meal down. Then we noticed he was losing weight, but his stomach was growing larger. We knew we had to get him looked at right away.
The employees at West Towne are probably the kindest people we have ever met. We had to bring Aidan in for an ultrasound, and when I dropped him off they had a sign 'welcoming' him and the other animals with appointments that day. It made me smile even when I was scared for the outcome of his x-ray.
Last week, we made the decision to put our kitty down as the cancer he was diagnosed with was becoming too much for his body to handle. It was the hardest thing I've had to do in my short adult life, and they made me feel what I already knew in my heart, that this was the right thing to do. The vet assured me his condition was worsening and that anything we did we only prolong his life ever so shortly. As I cried my eyes out, they reassured me what I was doing was the best choice to make.
I truly appreciate the kindness and compassion that they showed both me and my Aidan during an extremely difficult time. I will be sure to continue to use them for the other fur babies in our care.
