  • I have been coming to Dilly's Deli for years. Here's why I don't like them anymore: 1.) they no longer use Boar's Head brand meats. As most everyone knows, BH meats are one of the highest quality meats. Whatever new supplier they are using is not nearly as good. I asked an employee why they changed suppliers and they said BH is too expensive. I am sorry, but you did not lower your prices. BH is much better quality than whatever crap they're using. 2.) I found out the secret to their delicious "homemade" creamy chicken noodle soup. Apparently Dilly's simply uses a frozen chicken noodle soup (I believe the employee said it was Sysco) that they just add heavy cream to. Yes, their creamy chicken noodle soup is delicious; However, I think I can manage to just make my own rather than pay $5 for not-even-close to homemade stuff. 3.) Most of their employees just don't care about the customer. You will see what I mean when you show up to Dilly's within 45 minutes - an hour of closing time. On the last two visits, I have heard employees say they were not going to make any new soup because they just wanted to start cleaning up. On one visit, they only had ONE soup left and instead of telling the customer that... they just waited until she named every other soup and told her they were out. WHAT?! Dilly's needs to step up their game again or they will lose my business for good. 3 stars for the creamy chicken noodle soup alone. Even though it isn't homemade, it is still delicious in that bread bowl.
