| - Took a detour on my last day in Pgh and stopped by here. I had been planning on bringing work to do here for a while, but I always went with what I knew instead, the big tables and focused work environment at EAM.
Glad I didn't, because the atmosphere downstairs here is much more suited for relaxing than focusing on work. There is a lot of space, and instead of being packed efficiently with tables and outlets everywhere, it's got lounge chairs only a few smaller tables. Instead, a lot floor space is left empty and gives the place a very open feel. Garage door open with great weather helps, too. Love the environment, just not for work.
I was sad to see that the stairs had been blocked with a couple of chairs and one was up there - I guess the upstairs coworking space needs to be reserved?
The coffee here is just as good as the other location - but I don't think they always offer necessarily offer the same beans, unless today happened to be the day they changed it at both locations. Same equipment, same level of precision in their technique, and made a really good cup that wasn't overly acidic.
