| - Came here last night with a group of friends because we wanted to try out the tasting menu offered on groupon. 5 courses total including dessert.
My friend and I arrived earlier than everyone else and decided to have a couple of drinks at the bar. The bartenders were extremely friendly and had great suggestions of what drinks to order. Just the way they explained the ingredients in each drink made us want to try them all. Our favorite was the Cucumber martini (Finlandia Grapefruit Vodka, Fresh Cucumber Puree, Lychee Juice, Lemon Juice). The bartender also recommended the Spicy Acai Martini (Veev Acai Spirit, Acai, Passion Fruit Puree, Serrano Peppers). After making it for another customer he gave us some to sample and it was delicious. We will definitely be back for that drink
On to the food...
Yellowtail jalapeño: fresh yellowtail and just a slight but of heat from the jalapeño. Delicious.
edamame: pretty standard edamame. Nothing to write home about
Sushi: California roll, and 3 pieces of nigiri sushi. Good fish, but not a stand out course
Rock shrimp: battered shrimp in a creamy spicy sauce.
Miso black cod: favorite dish of the night. You really can't go wrong with black cod miso and Nobu has really nailed this dish. It was tasty and melted in your mouth.
Bentobox dessert: this included homemade green tea ice cream, flour less chocolate cake, and Suntory Cappucino (Chocolate crunch, coffee cream, whiskey foam and milk ice cream). The Suntory Cappucino stole the show. There were so many flavors that went together so well and weren't too sweet. I would order this again by itself
Overall, it was worth what we paid because we were able to try out so many different favorite dishes they offered. They offer the full menu at the bar just in case you want to stop in without reservations. Give the Spicy Acai Martini a shot!
