| - The Spring Preserve has always been one of my favorite places to take my little ones, so if you're looking for a fun and interactive place to spend a few hours with the kiddos, look no further. I highly recommend the annual pass because your kids will want to come back and often. It's inexpensive and well worth it.
There's so much to do and see here. Not to mention all the fun events they have here throughout the year (check the calendar for upcoming events). Halloween is my favorite time to visit. Safe way for the kiddos to trick-or-treat and enjoy games and various fall-themed activities.
Within the Springs Preserve is The Nevada State Museum, Origins Museum with new exhibits all the time, a train ride, playground, arts and crafts, art gallery, wedding venue, The Cafe (which has some fantastic views of the city with great food to boot), hiking trails, butterfly habitat, botanical gardens, cooking classes, summer camps, a huge lawn for a picnic lunch when weather permits, the list just goes on and on.
The grounds are always beautifully manicured and thank god the museums are set to the perfect temperature. It's the desert after-all so I'm always making a mental note of places with good temperature control.
Check out The Nevada State Museum to learn all about the Silver State...its not just Elvis and Casinos!
Added perk for Bank of America members. "Museums On Us" (free admission first weekend of the month).
