  • Visited this restaurant last night with a friend. If it was not for my friend, I would have not known about this little gem in Phoenix. I have lived in Phoenix for twenty years and I have never heard of this place. The menu is unique which I love. Our server was knowledgeable and kind. Off of the menu we started with the a light Cheese Curds snack and street taco's. The food came out quickly after ordering it. Then we tried the Mac and Cheese off of the small plate menu. The two of us were beginning to get full so split an entree of meatloaf which was a special this evening. I thought the meatloaf was a little bland but the sauce was great with a kick to it. I probably would not order the meatloaf again if I went back. The white cheddar waffle was okay but somehow too eggy for my tastes. My friend ordered chorizo stuffed dates and he was very happy with his choice. We ordered two desserts that were special and not on the menu. Both were excellent, one chocolate flourless torte and one strawberry. This restaurant is small with only about a dozen tables and we did not have a wait when we arrived at 6:30 pm on a Saturday. If you arrive much later, expect a wait. They have a small bar but that was full by 7 PM. There is an area with a couch to wait comfortably. We were there for two hours, enjoying our food and wine. This restaurant is located in a house in a residential area which adds to the uniqueness of it. For you carb lovers like me, they did not serve bread. I can list every restaurant based on good bread so that was my only disappointment here.
