My first impression was of the outdoor patio. I really really like the patio! I've only been to Germany once, so I'm no expert, but it really did remind me of a few Biergartens I've seen.
Since it's Oktoberfest season, they had a really good line up of draft German beers. I had the Spaten Oktoberfest and my partner had the Bayerischer Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan Weißbier (clearly he's a complex person lol). Reasonably priced @ $5 a glass made it totally worth it to splurge into the foreign beers.
I had the Hausbrat with Sauerkraut and Relish, adding Curry sauce to it they had sitting at the table. Amazing Brat and very delicious. Not traditionally presented, as the bun was much shorter than the brat, and more of a potato bread roll than a Brat Bun, it was still very good and I appreciated the lesser amount of carbs.
The only feedback I'd give is that when we were served they forgot the silverware, napkins and condiments. The visits from the waitress was few and far between so we were a bit worried after she scurried off that we'd have to go on adventure to drum something up. The manager was very observant however, and saw the look on our faces and got us all squared away quickly.
We will be back!
