  • The Cleveland candle company is such a great addition to Cleveland. I'm not sure what possessed me to Google "Cleveland candle making" but I did and I was pretty ecstatic when I found this place. They have plenty of candles and other some other merch like t shirts throughout the store but the really cool part is the mixology bar! You can walk in and blend your own scents (2-4) to make a custom soy-based candle! They also have an assortment of classes (lip balm, BYOB candle & trivia, candle & paint etc) that I might have to check out. They have over 150 individual different scents you can smell (me being the thorough crazy person I am went through Every. Single. One.) There are blends like magic potion and rain barrel or individual scents like birch and lilac. Fruity floral earthy food-based you name it. The prices for your candle depend on what jar you pick which range from $15-$32 (most are around $20-$22). You then blend your oils and pour them in the melted wax- stir- wait and hour and a half and come back to pick it up! In that time you can peruse the eclectic neighborhood that is Coventry. Partially through making mine I realized it smells like a tasty and delicious man... Thus my pheromone - teakwood - poison crocus blend is now known as the "Crazy Cat Lady" for all you people looking to help alleviate the lack of male companionship in your life with a candle that smells like a nice man who does the laundry AND the dishes while sipping on some bourbon and chopping firewood. All from the comfort of your cat fur covered couch! There is a ridiculously high chance I will come back to make one again.
