Jacob and his crew do an ok job of making it seem like they're honest businessmen. I even researched online about some complaints on bike forums. But wherever there was complaints, someone also said they meant well and were ok.
Well, I can say with some certainty now that, at least as far as repairs are concerned, they ripped my friend off. Her wheel was wobbling and it was unsafe. Jacob was nearby and we went in to ask about price. They were affordable and among the cheapest quote we could get from a quick phone around. 60 for a used wheel 80 new. We went with used.
They proceeded to replace the wheel!
-45 minutes longer than quoted
-they had taken with the old busted wheel a new tire and tube that had been replaced last month
-the tire and tube they did leave was old and broke after 1 ride. That's right, 1 ride after a fix, broken.
we went back there, and:
-they argued and told 4 different stories
- in their defense they gave her a free replacement tube.
In all, not a 0 out of five, but 1 at most!!
