  • I recently went to Lightning Lube for an oil change and was less than impressed based on the other reviews. First off there was one other car in the bays when I got there, so I guessed I would be in and out in a quick time frame. Almost an hour and 10 minutes later I was finally on my way. During that time there I listened to the guy in at the desk tell two other customers how he was going on interviews for other places due to it being so slow there. Not a good thing to be telling customers but now I see why they were taking their time with my car so they would not have to just sit around. Finally while checking out, I was asked if I wanted to run my card as credit or debit, I advised credit. The response I got was "but it can be done as debit right, cause I would rather not run it as credit as it cost the shop money to run credit" first off, why ask if I really dont have a choice? and then with the money they are making on the oil change, I would assume they could afford the dollar or two to pay the fee. There are too many other places on Scottsdale Rd to have my oil changed that will get my business in the future.
