| - Dealerships receive a lot of hate, and I understand why. I admit that I've felt dealership loathing on occasion myself. Keffer Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (that's a mouthful) seems to make a lot of people unhappy. However, in dealing with them, they've yet to do me wrong.
Most recently I needed some scheduled maintenance on my Jeep's transmission. Going to another shop probably would've been cheaper, but the kind of transmission in my Jeep isn't common, and I couldn't find anyone else who would crack it open. Fortunately, the staff at Keffer were polite, they did a thorough job, and they made a point to not aggressively push me to get further maintenance done right that very day.
Here are some cons:
- The waiting room is uncomfortable and there's only hard internet connections for two people instead of general wifi. A lot of people, including me, elected to wait on their cars, so a little investment in the waiting room would be nice. I had planned on working while I waited, but the lack of wifi prevented that.
- The service manager came out to tell me they were done and my car would be out soon... then I proceeded to wait another hour. Turns out they took the car for a test drive and then tweaked things a bit, which is fine: I appreciate the diligence. But he didn't come back to tell me they were going to do that, which led to my texting my boss that I was almost done, then being delayed another hour without explanation. Better communication would be helpful.
All around, my experience at Keffer was satisfactory. I hope I don't have to go back, but I won't hesitate if I must.
