  • Had tried going to Swartz's for lunch, but were deterred by what looked like an hour wait. Our lunch at Chez Jose was delicious and fun! The staff are very friendly, if a bit harried. We had a curicios (sp?, chorizo) and a chicken sandwich, as well as the fish soup....every bit of it was delightful! Our waiter was eccentric and brought us 2 espressos while we waited (on the house), but unusual for a pre-lunch drink. The fish soup could have been lunch by itself, with 6 mussels, and a thick, rich tomato base. Finished all of this with a smoothie that was quite good....we waddled out very satisfied.
