  • I have been at the store a few times but am not very impressed with the staff especially the cashier. I just moved to the area and when one staff member asked me if I needed help, I informed him that I was just checking out the store as I was new to the area. He gave me two free Planet organic shopping bags (this happened right where the cashier was). When I paid for my purchases, the cashier took one free bag and did not give it back to me. The next couple of times the cashier facial impression was very flat (like a drone). No "hello how are you" or "have a good day". Every time she asked me if I was part of their rewards program and when I said I wasn't just moved on to charge my purchase. Never offered to explain what the program is about. I don't feel appreciated as a customer. I usually shopped at Community Health Food downtown or the Sunnyside Market in Kensington. Even so Planet Organic in Varsity is closer for me now, but since I had such negative experiences there I rather go the extra mile to Community Health Food or Sunnyside Marked. I have been a customer in both of those stores for a few years and only had positive experiences there. The staffs are very friendly and always happy to help if you need it.
