We moved my Mother-in-Law to The Stratford after a horrible experience at another facility, and she was welcomed immediately into such a warm and loving family, it was amazing to us.
Everyone on the staff is warm and friendly (special thanks to Joyce and Monique), and all the caregivers are quick and attentive. The cafeteria is well-staffed and the food is quite good. The grounds are quiet and relaxing (a big improvement over the previous place she lived!). There are plenty of activities for everyone at every level of care - from movies and bingo and bigger events to simple arts and crafts. The care they take is amazing, and I can't say enough good about them all.
Our mother only lived there for three and a half months - unfortunately, a bad chest cold took her from us - but the care and concern we received was amazing. Everyone knew her and stopped to give us condolences. Even when they had to make that horrible, hard phone call in the middle of the night, they were as warm and supporting as it was possible to be. They gave us time to grieve as we cleared out her apartment, and allowed us to leave items we weren't keeping behind.
When comes time for us to look at assisted living, The Stratford will be high on my list of possibilities. Thank you all, again.
