I had to knock off one star because of the outrageous parking charge at MGM. It cost us $18.00 to valet the car! We will think twice about returning because of this.
CraftSteak does not do anything about it. They don't validate.
That being said, we were lead to our table by an unsmiling hostess. After replacing a wobbly chair we sat down to a great meal. The service was friendly, unobtrusive, and efficient.
I had the bone in New York Strip medium rare. It was prepared just as ordered. The flavors were excellent. The spinach cane with lots of extra garlic just as we asked. The mashed potatoes were really good. The gift of a side of grits with cheese and bacon was well appreciated. As a New Englander, I have not had much of those.
The space is sedate and classy. The patrons were all mostly well dressed. That was a relief from the people out in the casino who were dressed like an explosion at the goodwill store.
All in all it was a very pleasant evening with good friends. The only drawback was the parking. With the nickel and diming the corporate resorts are doing, locals will be needed to replace the droves of tourist who have been turned off on what used to be a great Las Vegas experience.
