Worst customer service ever !
I rented a car (in advance btw ) for 5 days . So when I first "reserved" the car it gave me the option to have it dropped off at my location. About 430pm before the car was suppose to be dropped off at my house a rep called and let me know that they don't do car service on weekends?! Um ok that's fine I understand it's the weekend . So I found a ride to hertz on Saturday which was my car rental pick up day and guess what .. they didn't have a car . I had rented (and paid for btw ) for a midsize car and the gentlemen at the counter said " we are having inventory issues " from previous reviews on this page it seems that's their issues all the time . So then the guy proceeds to say "you can either take a focus or mustang " like wth I'm driving 4 people for 6 hrs in a damn 3 door mustang that wouldn't even fit my luggage.
So then I asked him if he could call other hertz to see if they had anything and with hesitation and a sigh he did but they didn't have anything . Mind you I wanted to leave that same day but now I couldn't because they didn't have a car for me.
So the. He proceeds to tell me that I can come back at noon and "see" if they have anything for me . Like really dude zero customer service . Not even an "I'm sorry for the inconvenience let me see what I can do for you " I didn't want anything for free I had already paid for the vehicle that wasn't there .
So I left him number and asked him to call me when he got a car for me . He called me about an hour later and let me know he had a slightly upgraded car and I let him know that I would be there in an hour because I had to get another ride since they didn't have car service like I thought and he did a long sigh * paused and said "I guess " .
Like really need a lesson in customer service . I can't remember his name but I know it wasn't his fault he didn't have a car but it also wasn't mine.
Moral of my novel is ... you get what you pay for .. sometimes the cheap easy car rental place isn't worth it .
