I hate writing negative reviews, but man does this place deserve it. What a bad experience. It wasn't one thing, but many. We showed up last night (a Sunday) around 9. The hostess was ice cold, took 5 minutes to even acknowledge us... as she chatted with a co-worker (the place was fairly empty). No greeting. No smile. We watched her treat others the same. She led us to a booth with grease marks on the seat (we had to ask for a towel to wipe it down; she could of cared less). Our waiter continued the bored vibe. He said hello, walked away, and then finally reappeared 15 minutes later to take our order. Not friendly at all (and we're always overly polite) and would disappear for long stretches. Lots of staff standing around, chatting (with the exception of the busboy who busted his ass). The manager (guess; big guy in a suit) was extremely attentive... toward one particular table (seemed like friends of his). I've never seen such poor service before. It was like an episode of Bar Rescue where the owner isn't there and the staff doesn't give a damn. To top things off, they forgot to bring out one of our orders, but we told the waiter to forget it... to just bring the check. A word of advice to SS corporate.... fire the hostess (first impressions matter), promote the busboy, and train everyone else. Bad service can kill a good restaurant and drive customers away. We used to love this place. None of us will be back. The Nobu over at Caesar's is much better.
