Renters beware and advise needed!
2150 (that's the name of the apartment complex) located on Arizona ave and Germann is basically steeling from a hard working single father. I moved into this complex 13 months ago. Upon move in I found multiple issues with paint, cabinet doors, non drying dryer, broken ice maker and the list goes on. I noted these issues on my move in check list. I submitted work orders only to find out the maintenance staff was piss poor at their job. After multiple failed attempts to have these issues fixed I gave up and patiently waited for my lease to end to GTFO. About halfway through my 13 month lease the unit above me became vacant and was renovated. Shortly after the renovation my unit was FLOODED with COCKROACHES. They came from the unit above. I notified the office of the issue and they sent out pest control. The treatment (poison) was ineffective. Rather than poison me and my family again I bit the bullet and just decided to wait out my lease. Upon the end of my lease I cleaned the unit top to bottom and left NOTHING behind.
I was charged $400 for cleaning, carpets cleaning and new paint. Again I noted the piss poor paint job upon move in on the walk through form. Office staff was EXTREMELY rude and refused to waive the painting fees. The $400 is due 1/20/18 Please discourage anyone and everyone from moving into this roachden. Also any advice on if I can fight the painting fees ($180)? I have the move in walkthrough form showing paint issues. I feel I shouldn't have to pay for them to repaint the unit when the paint was a crap job before I moved in. Any advice would be awesome!
