  • I've been hitting up Island Sushi for years prior to the Yelp career. It's time to show some Yelp love. I'm yelping in regards to the AYCE sushi while sitting at the sushi bar.. Service: I've hit up their ayce sushi bar for Sunday brunch, weekend and weekday nights. The staff has always been GREAT! I'll usually sit at the sushi bar and the chefs are all cool but I want to give a shout out to Juan. He's a great sushi chef who is friendly and is quick with getting your order out. THe wait staff is awesome with keeping the bottomless mimosas or beers coming which I'll usually pair up with the ayce sushi. There's a TV and they'll change the channel to the games you request as you throw down ayce and bottomless booze. AYCE Sushi: The Nigiri is always on point and I've never had a bad experience. Everything we order is great but these are my favs: Yuzu Yellowtail, Salmon, Super White Tuna, Squid and the Garlic Tuna. The Mount Charleston is bomb: California roll smothered with Spicy baked scallops and eel sauce. Nigiri game is strong af here, everything is solid. Ambiance: There's two parts to Island Sushi: Pick up window dining and sit-down restaurant dining. The Sushi Bar is in the Sit down restaurant which is directly to your right after you enter the Pick Up dining area. The restaurant area is small and they pack a lot of tables so it's going to be noisy but nothing to derail from the dining experience. This is my go to casual AYCE sushi joint. Staff, service and the sushi has never failed me and I appreciate the consistency throughout the years. It always seems to be crowded with regulars which is a testament to their performance so waits for parties of 5+ can occur. However, if the sushi bar is empty, it's an easy sit down with no wait. Keep up the great work Island Sushi, Mahalo! =)
