I came to Yelp today to review a veterinarian and for some reason remembered the Mother's Day I spent at Honey Salt. It started with me being the first to arrive so I sat at the bar. The bartenders were slammed but still found the time to chat occasionally and serve me promptly. In fact, the entire place was packed with Moms and families. Brunch was ok. . .it's a lunch-menu-pretending-to-be-brunch with few traditional brunch items and I found it hard to find anything worth ordering. I settled on the sliders which were overly greasy and inedible. But the "kids" (grownups) loved theirs (especially the monkey bread), thus the three stars (I'm super picky). The wait staff is to be commended, however, for grace under fire, despite the many, many mistakes our waiter made. Will I go back? I hope not. I don't know what I'll do if they want to return next Mother's Day.
