Pros: Beer was very good
Cons: Food tastes like frozen and what I can buy in the grocery store - expensive tourist trap
I was told if I were in Pittsburgh, this place is a must. The service here was top notch. We were a party of four and Chris was very attentive and knowledgable about the beer. I got the sampler, which ran under $8 for 5 beers. What a deal! They were all good.
The food was nothing special. The pretzel appetizer was too salty. My pierogies tasted like Mrs. T's. They were supposed to have bacon and chives, but all I got were pierogies with sour cream and onion straws. We were there for the trivia night, which was enjoyable. During that, I got the nacho appetizer. Again, nothing special.
The food is extremely overpriced for the quality. You can phone in the German music and mead hall atmosphere, but it doesn't fix the food. Go for the beer...after going to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory across the street.
